How to Configure a YouTube Video Like Task

Step 1: Navigate to the Campaign Panel.

  1. Log in to your Stiqy admin account.

  2. Navigate to Campaigns from the left-hand menu.

  3. Select the campaign you want to add the task to, or create a new campaign.

Step 2: Start Creating the Task

  1. In the selected campaign, open the Tasks tab in the top horizontal menu.

  2. Click the Create New Task button to initiate the task creation process.

  3. In the "Task Types" panel, choose YouTube Video Like under the "Social Tasks" section.

  4. Click Continue to proceed.

Step 3: Configure Task Details

Required:

  • Name: Enter a clear and concise title for the task (e.g., "Like Our Latest Product Demo!").

  • Points: Define the number of points users will earn (e.g., 25 points).

  • Youtube Video ID: This field will be automatically filled if you provide the Youtube Video URL.

  • Youtube Video URL: Paste the full public URL of the YouTube video users need to like (e.g., https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yourvideoid).

Optional:

  • Icon: If preferred, upload an image to use as a custom icon for the task. (200 x 200px recommended)

    • This field is completely optional. If you don't upload an image, a default icon will be used.

  • Description: Add a brief explanation or instructions (e.g., "Show your support by liking our new video!").

  • Gems: Specify the number of gems rewarded, if applicable (e.g., 5).

  • Start Date and End Date: Select the date and time when the task begins and ends.

    • Enable the Sync with Campaign Dates toggle to align the task dates with the campaign dates.

  • Label: Select an existing label or create a new one (e.g. "YouTube", "Video Engagement").

  • Promoted Task: Toggle ON to highlight this task and pin it to the top of the task list.

Step 4: Save and Publish the Task

  • Click "Create Task" to save.

  • Double-check all the fields for accuracy.

  • The new task will appear in the Tasks list within your campaign.

Use Case

Example: Boost Engagement on an Announcement Video

  • Name: Like Our Big Announcement!

  • Description: "Help spread the word! Like our latest announcement video and earn 20 points."

  • Points: 20

  • Youtube Video ID: AbcDeF12345

  • Youtube Video URL: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AbcDeF12345

  • Promoted Task: (ON)


Troubleshooting Tips

  • Like Not Verifying

    • Confirm the Youtube Video URL is correct, public, and points to a single video (not a playlist).

    • Ensure the video is not set to "Private."

    • Make sure the user is logged into their YouTube account and approves access when prompted to authorize Stiqy’s permissions.

    • Confirm the user connected the same YouTube account they used to like the video.

    • Allow a few minutes for verification after the user likes the video.
