Device Analytics

Overview

The Devices metric provides insights into the platforms and technologies your users engage with, helping you tailor your campaigns for an optimal user experience. This metric tracks the distribution of devices used by participants in your campaign over the last 30 days. Analyze this data to ensure compatibility and improve user engagement across all platforms.

Understanding Devices Analytics

The Devices section provides multiple visualizations to help you analyze user device preferences:

1. Summary Card

  • Displays the total number of devices used by participants in the last 30 days.

2. Bar Chart: Device Distribution

  • Highlights the number of participants by device type (e.g., Android, iOS, Windows, macOS, Linux, etc.).

  • Specific numbers for each device category are shown above the bars.

  • Use this data to understand which devices your audience prefers.

Use Cases

  • Optimize Campaigns for Popular Devices

    • Prioritize campaign testing and task optimization for the most frequently used devices.

    • For example, if Android and iOS devices show a consistent increase in participation, you can allocate more resources to mobile-friendly campaigns, such as tasks accessible for mobile users.

  • Improve Future Campaings

    • If iOS usage is low, consider creating targeted campaigns to attract users from this segment. The same works for the other devices.

Troubleshooting Tips

  • Unexpected Device Discrepancies

    • Verify that your campaign is compatible with all targeted devices.

    • Ensure that there are no technical issues or bugs affecting specific devices.

  • Low Engagement on Specific Devices

    • Check for performance issues on underperforming devices.

  • Rapid Changes in Device Preferences

    • Assess whether new device launches or updates are influencing user behavior.

    • Update your campaign to reflect these changes.
