Scan QR Code
Overview
The Scan QR Code task in Stiqy allows you to easily verify user attendance to your online or physical events, such as AMAs, webinars, or in-person booths, through QR code scans. By creating a QR code task, you can verify and reward users who participate in your various events.
How to Configure a Scan QR Code Task
Step 1: Navigate to the Campaign Panel
Log in to your Stiqy admin account.
Go to the Campaigns section from the left-hand menu.
Select the campaign you want to add the task to, or create a new campaign.
Step 2: Start Creating the Scan QR Code Task
Open the Tasks tab in the top horizontal menu.
Click the Create New Task button to initiate the task creation process.
In the popup that appears, select Scan QR Code under the Off-Chain Tasks category.
Click Continue to proceed.
Step 3: Configure Task Details
Required Fields:
Name: Enter a descriptive name for the task (e.g., "Join our Game Nights on Discord").
Points: Assign the number of points users will earn upon completing the task (e.g., 50).
Optional Fields:
Description: Provide clear instructions for users, such as where they can find the QR code to scan (e.g., Prove your attendance by scanning the QR code we show during the game night!).
Gems: Set the number of gems users will earn (e.g., 1).
Start & End Date: Specify the task's availability period by entering a start/end date and time.
Toggle the Sync with Campaign Dates option if you want the task to automatically align with the campaign's timeline.
Label: Use an existing label or create a new one to categorize the task.
Step 5: Save the Task
Review the task configuration.
Click "Create Task" to finalize.
The task will now appear in the Tasks list on your panel.

How to Distribute a QR Code
Once the task is created, Stiqy will generate a QR code associated with the task. You can access and manage on the Tasks panel.
Viewing and Downloading the QR Code
Navigate to the task list in your campaign.
Locate the created "Scan QR Code" task.
Click the View QR Code icon on the right side of the task.

In the View QR code screen, you will find options to:
Download QR Code: Save the QR code image to your device for digital distribution.
Print QR Code: Print the QR code directly for use in physical settings

Utilizing the QR Code
Physical Event Displays: Print and place the QR code at strategic locations, such as registration desks or booths.
On-Screen Displays: Download and present the QR code on screens during webinars or live streams for participants to scan.
Marketing Materials: Include the QR code in posters, flyers, or banners.
Use Cases
Example 1: Event Check-Ins
Print out the QR code and set it up at your booth.
Verify attendance by instructing visitors to scan the QR code.
Example 2: Participant Retention
Download and display the QR code at a later time during events to reward participants who stay longer.
For example, the AMA host can present the QR code on the screen or chat at the 45-minute mark of your event.
Troubleshooting Tips
Users Unable to Scan QR Code
Ensure the QR code is clear and not obstructed.
Check that the scanning device’s camera is functioning properly.
Verify that the QR code is associated with an active task.
Users Unable to Verify
Ensure the task is active and within the specified date range.
Unable to Generate QR Code
Refresh the admin dashboard and retry.
Confirm that the task setup is complete and all required fields are filled.
